One Step Ahead
We believe that the eradication of human trafficking is possible. And we know that empowering + employing survivors is one of the key ways that we can stop the vicious cycle of trafficking + exploitation.
But in order to truly solve this pervasive problem, we know we have to get ahead of the issue, which is why our team is committed to providing Prevention Education + raising awareness in our community.
The Prevention Project™
Did you know that the average age of a human trafficking victim in the US is 12 years old?
We believe that in order to really create a difference in the issue of human trafficking, we need to start with preventative conversations with youth on the indicators of exploitation + the resources available to them
Since 2013, New Creation has brought prevention education to more than 6,000 students + our goal is to bring this life-changing curriculum to all middle + high school youth in our community.
OnWatch™ is a survivor-led training designed to empower you to spot, report + prevent sex trafficking where you live, work + play.
New Creation is partnering with the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce to help point individuals and businesses to this important training that utilizes experts and true survivor stories to explain the key indicators of trafficking, as well as how you can support the survivor's path to freedom.
H.O.P.E Human Trafficking Training
Did you know that 90% of victims will come in contact with a healthcare professional during the course of their trafficking? That's why we're dedicated to helping ensure that healthcare workers are educated on the signs of trafficking.
Healthcare Observations for the Prevention & Eradication (H.O.P.E) of Human Trafficking Training is a survivor-informed, trauma-informed + patient-centered video-based training that equips all healthcare workers to identify potential human trafficking victims, give support + offer resources.
